If you get an error as indicated above when you open SimulAr, you don´t have access to modify that line of the registry.

The solution to the problem is the following:

1) Go to "Windows Vista Botton"

2) In the "Start Seach box" type "regedit", then "continue", and then the Registry Editor will open.

3) Find and select in the tree the following:

        [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{6262d3a0-531b-11cf-91f6-c2863c385e30}]

-If your Operating System is Windows 7 64 bits:

4) Right click and select "Permissions"

5) Select the user you are logged and click on "Allow" in "Full Control" under the "Permissions for users box"

6) Close de Registry Editor

If you don't have access to regedit, you will need to contact your system administrator.

SimulAr should works fine after that.

IMPORTANT: SimulAr DOES NOT WORK on 64 bits versions of Excel, however, it now works on Windows 7 64 bits. For a properly use of SimulAr, you must install a 32 bits version of Excel.

PS: The default value of the line of the registry mentioned above is 400 but SimulAr needs a value of 0, so Simular needs to change that value when working. When you close SimulAr, the value is returned to 400 again, so no changes are made on the Windows Registry. This explanation is given due to the fact that some people are afraid of the solution above.
